Everything else falls under this category and is charged by the hour. This would include for example, reinforcing stitches around a frame, stiching up holes in linings and loose threads, cleaning and polishing frames and just about anything else you can think of. I will give a price quote based on the service that is needed.

Purse cleaning also falls under this category, but is specific to the type of purse and whether or not I must remove it from the frame to clean it. If I am already removing a purse from it's frame for other repairs, then I will clean the purse for free. I will have to see a purse in order to give an accurate estimate on cleaning. I clean all my purses with a non-corrosive cleaning solution and handle them very gently in order to preserve the strength of the fibers and prevent bead loss.

*Please be aware that those beautiful steel beaded purses cannot be cleaned, as the metal beads rust when wet. In some cases, I can block clean them by polishing with a soft cloth and remove some of the dirt, which does tend to brighten them up a bit.
