This section of my website is devoted to the custom purse requests that I receive from my clients in addition to standard beaded purse repairs. Many times they will send me surviving beadwork panels, or gorgeous celluloid frames with the intention of creating a new purse.
I often times come across the remains of once beautiful beaded purses, and have found that it was a common practice by some people to just cut a beaded purse into two panels for framing on the wall. Sometimes you get lucky and can acquire both matching panels for a full restoration. Other times, only one panel is found, but even one beautiful beaded purse panel is worth saving! I work with the client to create a new purse with the existing panel, using vintage beads, materials and frames. The end result is a purse worthy of display in any purse collection.
