This unusual and stunning frame is for a "wrist purse" and is made of brass with solid jade insets. The original bag was made of embroidered silk that was in shreds. The client turned me loose to do whatever I wanted with it. In this case, I chose a contemporary velvet brocadefabric that had just the right amount of green in the pattern to really set off the color of the jade. I lined the purse with red silk using a blind stitch, as there was not enough room in the purse channel to accomodate purse trim.
