Pursonal Touch Beaded Purse Repair - More Steel Bead Purses

Figural scenes are highly prized in all types of glass beaded purses, but they are less common in the steel beaded ones. This unusual and fabulous bag depicting a gentleman in his finery, had been framed under glass when the client acquired it. It had been beautifully preserved, except for oxidation of the beads and very few split rows. I removed the fringe and turned the entire purse inside out to expose the original colors. The client provided the perfect jeweled frame, and the finishing touch was a thick, straight across fringe in complenting colors. The beads in this purse were size 18/0....very tiny. The fringe alone took 16 hours to complete.
